BLABLABLA By ZAHARA

If it feels right.. GO FOR IT eyes closed! - Zahara

I mean what can be better than intuition. Unfortunately, easier said than done cause it is often confused with our 'conscious' that keeps scaring us from everything. Following your heart is the cheesiest thing that could be said but isn't your happiness worth something?

''shhh...''
Don't try to please people around you because unfortunately they are the biggest obstacles, some sort of viruses that slow you down. Social conventions are also another thing that should be considered to be taken lightly. Why should we listen to some person's fright of being different. Who is this person who decides all this stuff anyways? Marriage, Education, Fashion, etc. A little weird coming from someone who absolutely lovveeessss fashion BUT in my defense, i am not one to say ''eww why are you wearing uggs or what the hell is that guy wearing...'' I really mean that i have even more respect for people who do as they wish. I feel you can sense people who are real, who are different in a genuine way meaning that they do, dress, or think in a way that feels right, not because it's what is considered 'normal'. What is normal?
But then again people who follow are not disliked, some people are better in packs and that is just as good.
My MAIN point is that if you feel happy go for it, and remember that criticism is very easy to dispense so just forget about them.
YOU are beautiful in every unique way possible.

Love yourself inside as much as outside because, you outer is the first impression you give and if you don't love it .. Who will?

Sincerly, Zahara xx

ZAHARA'S MIXTAPE

I was listening to some music, an activity that takes up at least a quarter of my day, and decided to share some of my favorites as mixtape posts :) So here's a little imaginary Mix Tape i came up with for the summer. Some will already be in the top 40, some are little groups I discovered, and some are just little classic pieces. I hope you cherries appreciate at least one, because music is AMAZING!!! whether its rap, country, indie, rock, punk, electro,... there's something for every piece of mind.

INSIDE THE CLOSET.

What?! An outfit post.

Went out to get my sisters then off to a little, very mini, shopping spree. I was in a big need to touch clothes elsewhere (i get bored with looking at my wardrobe for some reason), and fortunately found a few treasures.

So, I got this long floral print skirt in a large size to make it a strapless dress.. we can't really see but there are white buttons from the top to bottom which makes it even better as a dress paired with a belt for more structure. Then, i got two skirts; a royal blue suede high waist and a nice brown-beige leather skirt. And last but not least, a pair of cowboy-ish boots.. couldn't resist!
Anyways, i'll blog more about my little treasures in outfit posts later on.
Hope you guys had a wonderful day.

Pretty casual.. but i found it nice, especially the shoes but you can't really see them well (poor lighting and a camera app of the iPhone). They are SUPER COMFORTABLE, and the light blue just pops Believe it or not, i got them at Wal-Mart for 11.99$ Nice huh?

BRINGING THEM TIMBALANDS BACK!

Never thought i would think or even say this one day but i wonder if my Timbalands can make a gracious little comeback.
Unfortunately, mine are pink.. I might change the color (if it is possible) but i'll try to make it work and show you guys the result in a future outfit post. I really really really like this (maybe) upcoming trend; it is like a safari version of the Doc Martens/Military boots a la Lara Croft.

I L.O.V.E WOMEN WITH...

A BACKBONE and can back it up with skill.
Not just plain confident women, i'm talking about straight-up honest women who are just and say things as they are. No drama, no pretention just the TRUTH and the guts to actually put in clear coherent statements. These are the type of women who should be idolized. Do not get me wrong! I'm pretty sure they aren't born such way but the fact that they are able to be so self-conscious and to be able to tell themselves what they are and are not and then just jump into life from a cliff (Metaphorically speaking) and take life as it is amazes me!
Here is one of my favorite quotes:
you can't truly feel joy if you've never known pain. You can't really know what it's like to feeljoy if you've never felt heartbreak. You can't really know what it's like to be filled unless you've been empty. And here's the other thing: sometimes in life seasons don't come in order; instead of fall, winter, spring, summer, we get three winters in a row. But it doesn't mean that spring won't come eventually.
- People Revolutions' own Kelly Cutrone from her book If You Have to Cry, Go Outside

LIVE YOUR LIVES! The bad makes you appreciate the good even more. The good impresses you and you want to reach even higher.
So go get a bus ticket and wander downtown..get inspired, Or randomly select a restaurant on your GPS. (Just a few examples.. you get the idea)
The results might surprise you!

If you feel your gut saying it's okay .. GO FOR IT!! Don't chicken out and believe that some people are going to hate you, dispise you, embarass you, CRITISIZE you. At least you are being true to yourself and furthermore, critisizing is easy, haters are bored! What goes around..comes around. I believe that staying true to yourself is easier said than done (TRUST ME) but it's a battle that we should be willing to take on. It is worth the powerful happiness, pride and belief in oneself. We only have one life to live, so cherish that power you have within and take on the world because, well, let's make an adventure, a journey, a story of our lives as we do not know what is awaiting on the other side!

So here a few of my 'Godesses'
- MOM (Thank you for everything, I LOVE YOU); say it as much as you can, if you love her!
- Kelly Cutrone
- Miroslava Duma
- Gabrielle 'Coco' Chanel
- Diane Von Furstenberg
- Martina Sorbara

...just to name a few

So what is sexy to me? A real confidence. A poise in how you adress yourself. An incredible sense of self-knowledge (no one is perfect, might as well just accept it). A desire to push yourself in ways that exceed your expectations. An un-cocky, non-arrogant self-confidence. Knowing who you are and what you can do without being in everyone's face because let's face it you come on earth alone and you leave alone (in an un-depressing way that is :P) so YOU are the only person you have to prove anything to.

'' Be your own Bestfriend first '' - Diane Von Furstenberg

Okay so i've done quite some blabla, What do you think? Good OR Bad.. I'm a big girl ;)

WHEN MUSIC MEETS LADY DIOR

Here's a little Music Video made for the new Dior campaign shot by Annie Leibovitz. Song is called 'Eyes of Mars' written and played by Franz Ferdinand & Sung by Marion Cotillard <3
There's just something that got me attached to this little gem; Lady Rouge.. just so sexy, classy and somewhat adrogenous with her 'tailleur Dior'.
Hope you enjoy it as much as i did!!!
